High Quality Early Care and Education
EN
Concord Child Care Center, Inc has been open and serving Concord and surrounding areas with quality child care and early education since 1972! We continue to provide full-day and part-day child care and early education to low-income families so they may work, seek employment, attend college, etc. We are proud to share our 50th year of service with a celebration in the park this spring!. Watch for updates!
We are happy to report we are open and able to serve enrolled families on site for in person care. We continue to be limited to State and County Health Department regulations for group/cohort size and will revisit group sizes as soon as we enter Orange Tier. We will continue with maintaining consistent cohorts to remain as COVID safe as we are able. We will be taking applications for our Part Day preschool program for an August 2021 start date.
As of May 18, 2020 we continue to offer services to currently enrolled families who are returning to work and have no alternative care. We would like to share a link to CoCoKids Resource and Referral agency for updates on where families can find care and other services.
Concord Child Care Center, Inc supports families in need during the holidays through generous donations from the community!
We would like to send our gratitude and appreciation for the ongoing community support shared with the families enrolled in our program. The local community has been instrumental in our agency's ability to support the families now and throughout the year, from adopting families for the Holidays, toy drives, cash donations, in-kind donations, and cash support for our lunch program,

Today we know more than ever before about the importance of children's earliest years in shaping their learning and development. Yet, never before have the needs of young children and their families been more pressing.
The Week of the Young Child™ is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities, and to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of early environment—at home, at child care, at school, and in the community—that will promote their early learning.
At Concord Child Care Center, Inc. all the programs have been celebrating each day including Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and culminating with Family Friday!
Family Friday we had a wonderful visit from Sandi & Steve and the Insects! April 8-12, 2019
Program recognized among the top in the nation by earning accreditation
Concord, CA – Concord Child Care Center, Inc. located in Concord has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)—the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children.
NAEYC Accreditation is a rigorous and transformative quality-improvement system that uses a set of 10 research-based standards to collaborate with early education programs to recognize and drive quality-improvement in high-quality early learning environments. “We’re proud to have, yet again, earned the mark of quality from NAEYC, and to be recognized for our commitment to our ongoing commitment to reaching the highest professional standards,” said Brenda Brown, Executive Director.
To earn NAEYC Accreditation, Concord Child Care Center, Inc went through an extensive self-study and quality-improvement process, followed by an on-site visit by NAEYC Assessors to verify and ensure that the program met each of the ten program standards, and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. NAEYC-accredited programs are always prepared for unannounced quality-assurance visits during their accreditation term, which lasts for five years.
In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. More than 7,000 programs are currently accredited by NAEYC—less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition.
“NAEYC-Accredited programs bring our definitions of excellence for early childhood education to life each day,” said Kristen Johnson, senior director of Early Learning Program Accreditation at NAEYC. “Earning NAEYC Accreditation makes Concord Child Care Center, Inc an exemplar of good practice for families and the entire community.”
